Daclatasvir, IUPAC name (2R,3S,4R,5S)-2-((2S,3R,4S,5R)-5-amino-4-fluoro-3-hydroxy-2-((2R,3R,4R,5S,6R)-3,4-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-5-(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydrofuran-2-yl)pentanamido)tetrahydrofuran-3,4-diol, is a NS5A inhibitor with molecular formula C26H36FN5O8P (molecular weight 573.57 g/mol). A phosphonate-based nucleoside analog, it features tetrahydrofuran rings and a phosphonate group. Therapeutically, it targets hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotypes 1 and 4. It is a white to off-white solid, poorly water-soluble but soluble in DMSO. Mechanistically, it binds to HCV NS5A, disrupting viral RNA synthesis and assembly, thereby inhibiting replication.
