Dapoxetine, (IUPAC name: 1-[3-(aminomethyl)phenyl]-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-4-one), is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) with molecular formula C17H19NO2 and molecular weight 269.33 g/mol. Its structure features a 1-benzopyran-4-one core linked to an aminomethyl-substituted phenyl ring. Therapeutically, it is indicated for premature ejaculation. Physicochemically, it is a white solid with moderate water solubility and rapid oral absorption.
