Dapsone, 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (C12H12N2O2S, 248.3 g/mol), is a synthetic sulfone derivative with two para-substituted amino groups linked by a sulfone bridge. It is used in leprosy treatment and dermatitis herpetiformis. A yellow crystalline solid, it exhibits low water solubility and a high melting point (260°C).
